G-Drop Waterproof Wireless Speaker
Another day, another pitch for a Bluetooth speaker. But wait, the G-Drop
has some novel features. Not only is is waterproof, but you can stick
it in up to 3 feet of water for 30 minutes! Pretty cool. It's also good
to go from -14 degrees to 122 degrees. Add a dustproof rubberized case,
speakerphone and a 6-hour battery, and you've got a pretty compelling
case to part with $50 at Amazon or Target.
Sound quality is extremely subjective, but I found both built-in
G-Drop Equalizer settings pleasing, even when cranked up close to
maximum. I really like the fact that you can control the volume on this
unit, a feature lacking in many wireless speakers. I enjoy listening to
music in the shower, and the G-Drop is perfect for that purpose. I have
tested a Kohler Moxie,
which is a speaker-equipped premium shower head, however it lacks a
volume control. And what's more fun than answering a phone call from the
shower...mmm maybe not.
There's also a line-in connection so you can hard-wire the G-Drop up
to your computer. The unit's battery takes about 3 hours to charge via a
USB cable plugged into a power adapter or a computer.
I can't wait to try the G-Drop out in my pool this summer.
