If
you're anything like us then you play a lot of games, and for hours on
end. Staying up until midnight (or later) with friends isn't very
uncommon when getting in an extended session of tabletop favorites like Magic: The Gathering
or video games. That's all the more reason why it's important for you
to get a regular sleep cycle. While you may be getting enough sleep one
thing we all take for granted is the method in which we wake up. With a
loud and annoying alarm clock. Koncepto wants to change that with their
new Lumino smartplug.

The Lumino smartplug goes in between your electrical outlet and your
lamp, transforming your light into a "dawn simulator." It'll actually
make the intensity of the light increase gradually, allowing your body
to be stimulated by the light in a natural manner. In addition, you can
also enable a personalized song or preset sound to wake up with if light
alone isn't enough for you. The music won't begin until the light has
reached its full intensity. You're able to program the settings of the
Lumino smartplug via Bluetooth with your phone or tablet. One of the
device's benefits is that it can be used to control a light while you're
away from home on vacation.
Personally, waking up in the dark to a loud alarm clock at six in the
morning and stumbling across the room in the dark to hit the snooze
button is rather frustrating. Having a light turn on automatically
thanks to the Lumino smartplug would prevent this gamer fumbling around
blindly and stepping on Legos with bare feet (it happens more then we'd
care to admit). Additionally, waking up to a favorite video game song
would surely help motivate our day.
